“Nurungi” is an Aboriginal word for “Remembered”

A monthly email newsletter keeps members and others advised of coming speakers or activities. As well as news of the society it contains interesting articles and snippets of historical information.

Back issues (pre-digital) can be viewed using this archive page.

We endeavour to provide a wide range of interesting articles, not just local.

We are always looking for interesting articles for our newsletter or personal stories about the area.

Would you like to contribute to Nurungi? It could be about life in the area or people who lived here, or even an interesting item. It can be just a paragraph or even a longer article – all would be appreciated.

If you come across something interesting in another publication or on the internet we would be happy to receive it. However, we would need you to give us the source so we can make sure we don’t breach any copyright.

Comments on any issues are always welcome.

Become a Subscriber and we will email you the latest Nurungi newsletter each month. We will also advise you of upcoming tours, events, speakers or museum displays.
