Shipham Street

There is no story about the bearer of this name. However, in 1883 there was a John S. Shipham, resident in Concord, and in the Census of 1901 there is a J.O. Shipham, resident in Melbourne Street.

Salt Street

It can only be imagined that this street was named for its situation, extending downhill into the salty mudflats of the mangrove-bordered Exile Bay.

Salisbury Street

Salisbury, England, is an ancient city and has one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England. Salisbury Street, Concord, is located in part of the original landholding of Emanuel Neich and probably received its name from some of his early memories.

Rose Avenue

Named after Thomas Rose, one of the five free settlers who were granted land at Liberty Plains in 1793 or Mr. Rose, a builder who, about 1932, built about 18 houses in Creewood Street.
