Victor Horder was the youngest solder from Concord to enlist in the First World War at 15 years of age.  He went on to serve in the Second World War.  On 28 March 1917 he enlisted in the Army under the name of William Arthur Coleman and gave his age as 18 years.

Although he was only 15 at the time he was the youngest man to enlist from Concord.  He served in the 6th Light Horse Regiment, 27th Reinforcement, with the rank of Private.

In World War II he enlisted under his own name, but put his age down to 35 years.  He joined the First Battalion (City of Sydney Regiment) as a Sergeant and was posted to Liverpool Camp on 1 December 1939.  He was later promoted to Warrant Officer, Class 2, 23 Australian Infantry Training Battalion.
