James Casey lived at 65 Broughton Street, Concord. His parents, Michael and Mary Casey lived at Burwood Road Concord diagonally south east of the Concord Public School at Stanley Street. James’ house was build by Alderman Daniel Zoeller, a builder, and named Colane. The origin of the name is unknown. James was also appointed an Inspector under the provisions of the Pure Food Act and Public Health Act. The Council has in its archives photographs of James and his photo and a short description of his office is on page 14 of the book Concord Jubilee 1883-1933.
