Our speaker for July is Bruce Shying, historian, author and raconteur, who will tell us about the Titanic. The sinking of the Titanic is still one of the biggest non-military maritime disasters in history.

Though the story of the Titanic is widely known, what is less known is the stories of the real people involved in the voyage and the after-effects of the sinking.

Bruce will tell us the story of some of the heroes and villains who sailed on that historic voyage and how their actions would go down in history, for better or for worse.

You are invited to join us at the City of Canada Bay Museum on Saturday, 1st July to learn more about these people. Please be seated by 2:00 pm. Join us after the talk for some light refreshments and a chance to socialise. There is no charge for this event but if you care to make a small donation we would be most grateful.

Please check our poster for details and feel free to forward it to anyone you think might be interested.
