We were recently contacted by Christine, who now resided in Western Australia. She has a solid wooden chair that originally came from the Ramp Wards at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which she would like to donate to our museum.
However, we have a problem. It is large and quite heavy and we don’t have the money to have it shipped from WA to NSW.
Christine has been appealing through a newspaper article in Have-a-Go News and a radio interview on 720 ABC Radio Perth to see if there was anyone who could possibly transport it across country but without any luck.
We would certainly like to have this chair added to our museum collection as it’s part of Concord’s history, but not sure how to go about it.
Is there anyone out there who can suggest a solution?
