A lovely evening at Rivendell.
One of our valued members, Virginia Walker, attended the recent Opera at Rivendell (Thomas Walker Hospital) and was lucky enough to win the first prize. A jeroboam of Semillon containing a diamond. There was also a special gadget to use to make sure the diamond would be saved from going into the glass and so being swallowed.
It was a very appropriate win as Virginia is related to Thomas Walker. (Was his ghost watching over her?)
Virginia reported that it was a lovely evening – the music and singing were excellent and she knew all the arias – they were well-known and beautifully sung and presented.
A party in a bottle! A jeroboam will fill TWENTY glasses and is bound to impress the guests at Christmas parties It’s four times the size of a standard bottle
